James Marty Atwater, PE (we call him Marty!) is a valuable Electrical Engineering partner. Marty has deep skills in electrical engineering, from manufacturing to petrochemical to multi-family. Marty handles the lion’s share of Friedman Engineering’s residential electrical design, and he has helped usher dozens of projects through DCRA’s tricky residential energy and electrical review processes. As part of our ‘Design Assist’ team, he works as a ‘true consultant’, helping ensure that the architect’s electrical drawings are within code and normative design. Marty’s skills go well beyond ‘Design Assist’, however, and he has produced many detailed, customer-oriented full design drawings with our team for both residential and commercial projects. Marty shares Friedman Engineering’s commitment to clear and thorough communications with clients. Additionally, since we share a common network, filing system, and drafting standards, Marty’s work is highly integrated in our day-to-day operations.
