St. John’s College High School – Ice Rink Addition

The St. John’s College High School Hockey Team practices and plays its games at the nearby Rockville Ice Arena. This project added a 2-story locker room and team room to the Rockville facility—a collaboration of the Ice Rink and College officials. The two-story Addition added 3 showers, lockers, and an upstairs Team Room.

Location:        Rockville, Maryland

Basic Data:     4000 SF addition to existing 3-rink indoor skate facility.

MEP Data:      All-electric facility, utilizing large instahots for the showers (thereby avoiding hot water tank energy losses). New work integrated into existing alarm and sprinkler (new annunciator plaque). Two new HVAC units were also provided, in a dedicated mechanical room.
